First launched in 1991, the bag received a 21st century update from Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele: First, the style was officially dubbed Gucci Diana; and on the other hand, the designer added removable neon shiny leather belts (in neon yellow, orange or pink) to the handles, a clever nod to the functional bands that were once used to retain the shape of the handles in bamboo.
The tote bag will now also come in several sizes: mini, small and medium, with a classic chic palette of black, brown, white, powder pink and pastel blue. Monogram options will also be possible, with the addition of letters and stars on the leather belts in the colors of the metallic film.
